How to Vacuum Seal a Mason Jar

1. Fill a clean, dry jar and place a flat lid on top (no band needed while sealing).
2. For regular mouth jars, attach the converter. For wide mouth jars, use the sealer as is.
3. Center the sealer on the lid and press down firmly.
4. Press the button and let it run 20 to 40 seconds or more.
5. Press the button again to stop, lift the sealer straight up, and add your ring band for storage.

Yes. It works with standard flat two piece Mason jar lids. Lids should be clean, flat, and free of dents for the best seal.

Is vacuum sealing the same as canning?

How do I know the jar is sealed?
The lid will be pulled down tight and will not flex when pressed in the center. To open, use the included lid opener to gently break the seal.
